Best of Brighton Fringe – Comedy

The Starship Osiris

Every May the IYAF Press Team, made up of young trainee journalists, head to the Brighton Fringe and pick the best youth productions across three categories – Children and Families, Comedy and Theatre. The winning productions are all invited to perform at the International Youth Arts Festival.

This year’s worthy winner is The Starship Osiris from Willis & Vere.

Despite a cast that despise him, the arrogant actor, writer and director George Vere endeavours to bring you his debut “sci-fi masterpiece”. Also winner of the Vault Festival Comedy Award, the Top Ten Things To Do In London and the 21st Top Rated Show at the Edinburgh Fringe out of 3,000. Shortlisted for the Brighton Fringe Award for Excellence 2016.

“One of the funniest shows running at the Fringe!” ***** (ThreeWeeks) ”

“Of incredibly high calibre.” ***** (Broadway Baby)

“The Play That Goes Wrong with a fuck-ton more swearing.” ***** (The Chocolate Ocelot) Sell-out show in Leeds 2016.

Be sure to get tickets for this Best of Brighton Fringe Comedy Winner in the Rose Theatre Gallery. Last year’s comedy winner, Police Cops, transfers to the Rose Theatre Main House this year (Tuesday 11th July, 20:30).
