City of London School for Girls
Five young women in a war-torn country face the challenges surrounding them. With little promise of a normal future, they find a way to hope. A specially commissioned play from playwright Joyce Lee for The City of London School for Girls Drama Department, which comes to the IYAF after its premiere at the school in The Barbican.
The City of London School for Girls continues its association with playwrights by commissioning plays for casts of young women. Previous commissions have included Psyche from Diane Samuels (author of West End play Kindertransport) and Spheres, also by Joyce Lee. All performers and technicians are members of the school sixth form.
