INTERNATIONAL YOUTH ARTS FESTIVAL DIGIFEST
DIGIFEST first launched in 2020 as a digital festival celebrating emerging young artists
This year’s festival took place online from Friday 3 – Sunday 5 July 2020.
You couldn’t come to Kingston this summer, so we came to you.
We celebrated the best work for and by young and emerging artists from 3 – 5 July 2020. Audiences watched performances from international companies, took part in webinars to discuss and debate the major issues facing the arts today and in the future, and connected with people from around the world.
Thank you for joining us for a weekend of performance, inspiration and debate!
If you watched a show or took part in an event, please complete our audience feedback form here. Tell us what you loved, what you would like to see more of and what could be improved.
We’d really appreciate your thoughts and ideas as it will help us build on the success of our first Digifest in future years.
Every summer, young emerging artists from around the world gather in Kingston upon Thames to share, create and explore new ideas together. The 10-day festival, due to take place in July, was cancelled due to the pandemic, but IYAF Digifest celebrated the creative spirit of young people throughout this unprecedented period of lockdown.
Digifest took place online – right here – from Friday 3 – Sunday 5 July 2020.
Creative Youth aims to enable young people to realise their potential through the arts. We believe every young person has a right to access the arts and creativity and should be encouraged to take initiatives, risks and push boundaries in a safe, inclusive environment. Find out more about the charity here.
IYAF Digifest is made possible by support from Arts Council England, Kingston Council and Kingston University.
Due to Covid-19 this year’s festival has been created as an online experience. We hope you enjoy the festival and are inspired by the talented artists who are adapting to these challenging times. If you would like to see more of the international collaborations that have been demonstrated during Digifest, please consider making a donation to the charity here.
Any contribution, however big or small, is hugely appreciated.
